About Our Club

Please see - Latest News - page.

Formed in 1950, Torbay Motor Club currently has more than 200 members from all over the country. Promoting interest in motor sport in Torbay and the surrounding area we organise and participate in a number of major motor sport events every year, including:

Wiscombe Park Hillclimb
  • Torbay Trial (March, ASWMC championship round)
  • The Castle Combe Sprint (March & June, ASWMC championship rounds)
  • Wiscombe Hillclimb (April, May & September, ASWMC championship rounds)
  • Werrington Hillclimb (May, ASWMC championship round)
  • Mamhead Hillclimb (June & August, Torbay MC; championship rounds. These are non-spectator events)
  • St Eval Sprint (May, June & July)

The club periodically runs other events, some designed to give the novice experience in motor sport competition.

Mamhead Hillclimb

These are as broad in their range as possible, including regular social nights, and vary from season to season. Please read more about our events on our 'History' page.

For Event Entry Forms, please see - TMC Regulations - page.

Club motor sport has many different forms and costs vary accordingly, but our aim is to promote as broad a spectrum as possible, providing opportunities for all tastes and budgets.

You will be equally well catered for whether you're looking for a bit of fun in your road car (without risk of damaging it, or yourself) or whether you have a slightly more ambitious outlook and a specialist competition vehicle.

Torbay Motor Club members guide any aspiring competitor, marshal, organiser or spectator towards their goals, providing help with any necessary MSA licences, information and friendly advice. Members receive the club's monthly 'MissFire' magazine and this website also keeps members informed of local, regional and national motor sport activities.
