Mamhead Hillclimb 2010Welcome to Torbay Motor Club’s 2010 Hill Climb events at Mamhead House, near Exeter in Devon. Unfortunately these events are non spectator. Mamhead House is a fine English Heritage country house, with magnificent views of the Devon countryside sweeping away down across to the Exe estuary and across to Exmouth and the East Devon Heritage Coast. The course is 500 Metres of wide tarmac in excellent condition. The Mamhead estate includes the local church Who will benefit from the fund raising Barbecue/Hog Roast on the Saturday evening between each pair of events. We are keen that competitors and families encourage and support this local initiative and hope that as many as possible will stay for the evening’s social side to the event; tickets will be £5 each. We are indebted to Alan Harper and his family for the opportunity to open and operate a brand-new, and superb, hill climb venue and our thanks are due also for his tireless enthusiasm and support for the venture. It is vital that his, and his family’s, privacy is respected, and we therefore ask that you do not attempt any covert ‘recce’ of the hill or any other unofficial access to the estate. The events will be held over two week ends, Saturday 29th May 2010 & Sunday 30th May 2010 and Saturday 31st July 2010 & Sunday 1st August 2010. Submenu |
